Am slowly working my way through the original and can only apologise that I had not got as far as that when I posted.
I feel it is another of the many seemingly unregistered births in our wonderful indexes. Illegitimacy is the most probable answer but in which state and by which name the birth may have been registerd is another question.
It may even have been registered under her mother's maiden name. KNown to have happened before.
