so is John Bedworth the 1st or 4th husband of your husbands grandmother?

have you found the other HUsbands?

You could try searching for your husband's grandmothers details. Depending on when she was born, etc, you should be able to find her marriages, then trace each one to its end. It depends on your dates whether this will make your search easier or not. Otherwise, talk to any family still living, write everything they tell you down, then try to verify what they say one person at a time. I am still learning, but I think it would help if you had more information.  :) Good luck.

Oh no - not Smith  :-\

Did she by any chance have a nice, unusual Christian name that might help?

when did she marry Thomas Saregent and under what name Bedworth or Smith?
you really need to try and find this marriage to narrow down the death and marriage to John Bedworth

when was she born? plus circa 18-25 years for a marriage to begin with ....................
