Peter Powell 1843

Hello, Can anyone help???

I am trying to find out some information about Peter Powell 1843b, I think his father was John Powell 1815b. I need to know if I have a connection with children Florence 1871b, Jack 1872b, Joe 1873b, Annie 1887b.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a bit vague       What connection are you looking for ? 

Do you think he might be their father ?  Where were they born?

Are you wanting Peter on censuses  - if so which? 
What do you have already ?

Like to help - but not sure what to look for

The children are on my tree, however that is as far as I have got with the POWELL family.

Chester, Cheshire is where they are from, just had some people pointing me towards Peter and John and was hoping they were linked.

I have been informed that John Powell was the Verger at St Johns Church in Chester??

The three children you mentioned  -  Florence,  Jack  and  Joe  -  should be on the 1881, but I can't see those names and ages born Chester on that census.

It certainly doesn't look as if they were Peter's children;  Do you have any idea of who their parents were ?  You say they are on your tree............

  Thanks again for the reply. My grandmother Annie (Anne) Powell b1887 is one of the sibblings of Flo, jack & Joe,. This was as far as I have got on my Grandmothers side, and the information was supplied by my Father.

Annie Powell married my grandfather Harry Clarke b1897 Both from Chester.

Paul -  I think you're going to have to get Annie and Harry's marriage certificate    

That will give you her father's name and occupation, and hopefully her age, and I might then be easier to trace the family.

I can't find a Powell family with children of those names and ages in either the 1881,  1891  or 1901 censuses.

I can't either find birth registrations in Chester district for those names at those years   

Unless you have additional information, then I think the marriage certificate will be recessary to progress this line   

How certain are you of the names and dates of birth ?
