Devitt family - census look up please

Can someone please look up the Devitt family for me, I have a marriage certificate of Margaret Ann Devitt married August 1880 Grenwich, Kent. Her address at the time was 3 Blissett Street, her father being John Devitt, occ Bricklayer.
I am trying to trace her parents and siblings.

How old was she at the time, and where was she born according to later censuses?

Did she marry Henry Pearce?

If so, in 1881 she says she was born Greenwich, in 1891 Manchester and in 1901 Manchester Hulme.

This would suggest that this is her birth registration:

Births Sep 1855  Devitt  Margaret Ann     Chorlton  8c 541

I will try to find her in 1861 and 1871.

Yes, she did marry Henry Pearce. I wasn't sure where she was born, is Charlton near Manchester?
Any sign of her father John Devitt?

I have had no luck so far in 1861. 

In 1871 there is a Margaret of the right age and born Manchester  in a Convent in Westminster.  Her occupation is given as "Workroom".  It is a large establishment with many people in the Workroom or Laundry as well as lots of "Scholars". 

I am wondering whether the name of her father on the marriage certificate is a red herring.  Who were the witnesses?

                   To answer your Question, Re. Chorlton .Yes it is now in South Manchester Reg District.

The witness's on the mariage certificate were James Pearce and Caroline Murray - not much help there I'm afraid!
The Pearce's lived at 13 Blissett Street and Devitt's at 3, Blisset Street on the certificate.

No sign of a John Devitt in Kent in 1881 who might be her father.

I think that the way forward is to buy the birth certificate unless anyone else has more luck in 1861.
