Hi Alan,

Do you have Carson and Lillian's marriage certificate?  If you have, this will give Lillian's age and father's name which will help to narrow down the range of Price families!

Here is the marriage of your mother's parents:  Frederick Nettle mar Gladys A Nott Jun qtr 1924 Bristol 6a 498.  Again, this would give their ages and fathers names (if you don't already know them!)

Have you seen this site - www.freebmd.org.uk ?  It is a partial index of the birth, marriages and deaths since civil registration started in 1837.  It is pretty much complete upto 1920, with some coverage later on.  It's an invaluable tool, and really easy to use!  Not to mention free.

On IGI there is a Charlotte Sarah FLyng ch 27 Mar 1831 to Timothy FLyng and Charlotte Lang.  Which would account for the first Charlotte.  So what about the second?

Sorry Sue, just noted that you'd got the above from parish records

Do you think it could be an Enumerator error  ???  I couldn`t find anyone else with a similar name when I checked my transcriptions.

Don't know, it's an odd one.

There is a death for a Charlotte Long Flyng in 1858 and a marriage for Charlotte S Flyng in 1866.  I presume thats mother and daughter.

Hello all. I am sorry I have not acknowledged your latest information - I havae been ill in bed and clambered out of my pit today to squint at the world and was made happy to see that you are still kindly digging into my family! I will try to find moe information about my mother's side, but unfortunatley my brother and I are unaware of any close relatives to ask. But I will keep digging away and come back if I get stuck... thanks again!!!
Alan.
