There is a Marriage for Kate HENBEST June quarter of 1893, Horsham registration district - possible groom- Edward YOUNG.

Oops! That's the marriage trish found earlier.  Looks like two separate but similar couples.  :-\

There is a Kate married to an Edward Young in the 1901 living in Southborough, Kent.

And in 1901 there is this death

Deaths Jun 1901  Young  Edward  37  Tunbridge  2a 416

This would fit in with a remarriage in 1902.

However this Kate is shown as born Southampton.

I think the Kate Young I found in the 1901 census, married to Ernest Arthur Young, is the one who was Kate Hounsome before her marriage, hence my confusion!  I also think I need to go on a course to learn how to do this properly!  ;D

I think that if you get the 1911 census for your husband's grandmother (look under Gladys) it should sort out the family!  Looks to me as though there are some "Young" children in the household of Robert and Kate.

I don't seem to be able to find the Pratt/Young household, Barbara.  I've done some detailed searches looking for Robert Pratt with wife Kate Pratt, also including other members called Young, and also including a Gladys Pratt.  It keeps saying it found no records.

Is the Robert born in 1851, aged 60, the one you found to have Youngs in the household?  I only have 20 credits left and would like to make sure I've found the right one, as I don't think my husband will be happy with me buying any more!
