Sincere thanks to both Barbara and Jean for your response to my question regarding William Gledhill and Sarah Elvidge.Williams grandson William Henry is my grandfather who was born in Victoria, Australia.I have been trying to collate some information about forbears for my 84 year old father and had come to a standstill. My fathers 92 year old cousin passed away last week and I promised his family I'd try and gather some details. Their father was the son of John Elvidge Gledhill also born in Victoria Australia. So once again thanks for your assistance.Erika

Hi Erika,

Good luck with that, as I said, you may need the marriage certificate to learn a little more and get further back with the family

Kind regards,
Barbara
