You may be interested to know that the Gwent Archives (which I think used to be in Cwmbran) have now moved to The General Offices which is situated on part of the site of the old steelworks.
They have a records section and I believe that they are also processing photo's and some records pertaining to the steelworks ie/ personnel type records.
If you contact the Council at
www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk they should be able to give you the contact number
