Thanks for the update.

I e-mailed findmy past this week to find out about the 1901 census
for Glamotgan and was told it should be in the Spring of 2009.  I know it
is on other sites but I have signed up with them

;D  well we can hope we do! but a comment on 1911 blog asks whose summer do they mean when they say they hope it will be released in summer, because in Oz it would be a lot later! or maybe it should be now - are they still in summer down under? ::)

Here's the latest update from the 1911 blog...

'Scanning of all English counties complete
February 28th, 2009

Just to let you know that we have now scanned all English counties and have started on Wales. We anticipate that the East and North Ridings of Yorkshire, and Durham will be available by the end of March. Happy St David’s day!'

It would have been a happier St David's day if some of Wales had gone on-line!!

It was mentioned on last week's 'Look up Your Genes' on Radio Wales that the census was due to be online at the end of the summer. Don't know where they got the info or if that meant for the whole of Wales to be available, so that Monmouthshire & Glam would be earlier than that...

Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later.
