It's very strange ...I can't see Fanny or the children in 1911 .... I was hoping that maybe a relative was staying with them.  :-\

Fanny had Joseph early 1912 ...so I am assuming they were there. Can only see Barnet in 1911......

Thanks for posting, I think I've come across this family before, unfortunately I lost my data on a computer crash a few years ago, I'll see if I can dig any thing out on the various genealogy sites that I've subscribed to in the past.
I haven't come across any tailors in the family yet. In France they teach their students to say my tailor is rich" never thought about it being a reference to jewish tailors but possible, or maybe its a joke about the french chic! Just a thought.

hi

Barnet's dad, Jacob was a tailor in the 1891 census.

Maybe we should post the details in 1891 and 1901 for Barnet's family

Sorry, but I think they left Poland around 1907 not sure, but remember Joe saying to his son that he was born 1912 in England but his elder brothers + think a sister were born in Warsaw!
I was hoping to find out something on the 1911 census.

Ladylil

eeekkk now I'm confused ...are you saying Barnet's (b 1888 Warsaw) parents were not Jacob and Rebecca?
On the thread that you posted on page 1 , Barnet had been found with siblings and parents in the 1891 and 1901.

deb ..off to reread LOL  ;D

if Samuel was b. 1909 Warsaw and then Joseph was born in 1912 England they obviously came to the UK between these times
Joe was natuarlised in 1919 (see Jendors reply) at which point they were in Manchester
i would think that this document would be useful

have you searched under the variant of Cracowski

Holman & Vinton- Cornwall, Wojciechowskyj & Hussak- Bukowiec & Zahutyn, Bentley & Richards- Leicester, Taylor-Kent/Sussex  Punnett-Sussex,  Bear/e- Monkleigh Gazey-Warwicks
