Hope someone can help.

1.  Are female death certificates in Scotland listed under the maiden name or married name?

2.  If an individual dies in an institution or nursing home is the death certificate  witheld for any reason?

I have tried to get a couple of family certificates from Scotlands People - I know they should definitely be there.

It would depend on the information available to the informant. Have you tried variations in the way the names would be spelt?

What years are you looking at?

Am looking at 1932 & 1952. (deaths)

Knowing the mothers maiden name may help too?

It means scotland's people where you can get birth, marriages and death certificates online and also the 1941-1901 Census and OPR'S also you can get Wills up to 1901.
