CLEVERLY, Elizabeth, Calne.
« on: Monday 19 January 09 12:00 GMT (UK) »
I am researching Elizabeth Cleverly, born c1876 in Bowood, Wilts.
Married Alexander McRae 15/9/1896, Christ church, Derry Hill, Calne, Wilts (I have marriage certificate).
Alexander died 31/3/1922 and was buried at Christ Church, Derry Hill.
I have no other information on Elizabeth Cleverly.   Any help appreciated.

Hi Anne,

I'm not sure if you are trying to trace her forwards or back, but this looks like Elizabeth in 1881 with her parents:
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=uki1881&indiv=try&h=23128103
RG11/2036 11 16

Address Bowood Boat House

Same household on the 1881 census at www.familysearch.org

Dear Tati
Certainly does look like the right person.   Many thanks for taking the trouble to look for me!

Any use?

Stockley
Boat House

George Cleverly, head, 65, Labourer, b. Heddington
Sarah, wife, 55, b. Calne

previous censuses show more children for George and Sarah - shout if you want the details.

FreeBMD shows a possible marriage:

Sep 1873 Calne 5a 93
Thomas Cleverley - Ann Minty

The 1891 and 1901 censuses show Ann's birth place as Studley, so I'm pretty confident this Ann is the one:

1851
HO107/1837 7 7
Bremhill, Wiltshire
Studley

James Minty, head, 30, Ag lab, b. Bromham
Eliza, wife, 25, b. Bremhill
Ann, dau, 2, b. do.

Dear Tati
These look very promising indeed.   I have had a question mark against a George Cleverly and an Ann for some time, so your search results appear to be filling in the very large gaps!   I shall print off relevant bits and check it all out fully.    Sincere thanks once again.
Anne

I am wanting to contact AnneG7 who was searching for information about Elizabeth Cleverly and Alexander McRae in 2009. They were my grand parents, parents of my mother Christina born in 1916.
Can AnneG7 email me in New Zealand please?

Is it possible please to be in touch with Tati. Tati helped AnneG7 with finding out about Elizabeth Cleverly. I mentioned that Elizabeth Cleverly was my grandmother and I wondered if Tati could help me contact AnneG7.
Thanks, Susie H.

Hi Susie
I have just read your message regarding Elizabeth Cleverly.   I do apologise for not replying sooner but have been tied up with some family issues and have not had the opportunity to look up my family history so as to be able to respond to you properly.   I will get to this in the next few days and respond to you properly.
Best regards
Anne
