I am looking for a Joseph Lawton born 1803? in Handforth Cheshire....How do I start looking for his birth details and prior to that also?

       Any church records for person born Handforth would if baptised be at either St. Mary Cheadle or St. Bartholamews Wilmslow,I have searched all the online indexes I know of without finding anything, so the next step would for you to ask for a lookup at the Cheshire records office.firstly send all info via an email to the address on this link. They will contact you if they think a charge for a lookup is needed,generaly they will search a few years for free.
