Hi Joan, The other church's in Gt Marlow besides All Saint's C Of E were Holy Trinity C of E, built in 1852 in Gun Lane, which provided for the poor, but growing area North of the Town, on one notice it stated it had 200 sittings, I have part of an Ordnance Map where it says 500 sittings. On occasions I have seen it mentioned as All Saints with Holy Trinity. In the burial book I have, in 1859 there is N C besides the names of some burials, this meant New Churchyard, I was wondering if this meant also, in the Churchyard at Holy Trinity. Perhaps some kind person from rootschat would be able to answer this.
Other Churches were: St Peter's Catholic Church, Christchurch Congregational & Presbyterian, Wesley Chapel.
I have just checked in the 1841 census for Gt Marlow, as follows.
Thomas Gibbons 55 Coal Merchant. (Y)
Sarah Gibbons 50 (Y)
Thomas Gibbons 20 (Y)
William Gibbons 14 (Y)
Sidney Gibbons 10 (Y)
Living in St Peter's Street Gt Marlow.
Think this may solve your problem of the parents. In familysearch a marriage between
Thomas Gibbons and Sarah BELL 16th June 1816 St Mary Aylesbury.
Kind Regards,
Kaysy
