I have just finished a detailed study of the descendants of Mylrea of the Harpooner.  His son Frederick Thomas became an Army Man, daughter Mary Anne lived with her father until his death in France.  One of the problems with tracing military people is that they kept their own records in those days which need hunted down.  the FIBIS service is good.

Happy to answer any more questions you might have about Daniel and his descendants.

Hi Ken

In amongst all of my Mylreas, I have no Sarah Ellen but a Rose Ellen b 1864 in Sydney Australia, married Richard Mayhew 1891 in Marylebone, London.  In the family of Mylrea of the Harpooner, I don't think I"ve ever seen a Sarah, and only Ellen once (attached to Rose above)

I notice a Sarah Ellen Mylrea married in June 1874 in Leigh on the freeukbdm listing. Could she be yours?   Warmly  Diana

Sometimes I think my head might be full of fluff! I have a Sarah Ellen in my family tree.  She was born 1827 in Douglas, daughter of Jane Moore and Philip Mylrea.  Sorry for my previous mis-information.

D
