MIs All Saints Church Kings Bromley
« on: Saturday 17 January 09 12:41 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the MIs of All Saints Church, Kings Bromley, Staffordshire please for a look-up?

Some new information found on the 1911 census would suggest a search in that churchyard .

Hi Judy

Kings Bromley, all the names have not yet been recorded, what names are you after?

Thank you Mel, Handm and Alf for your replies.

Yes I had looked at the website "wishful-thinking etc" but the name I was looking for wasn't there.

It's actually a long shot really, Mel, so please don't go tramping around the churchyard too much on my behalf especially tonight!

I am looking for a headstone for a young Williamson or Blair who may (or may not) be buried in Kings Bromley. I just found a reference to 2 other children on the 1911 census who had died. There's a John Williamson on freeBMD who could be the one. He was born and died June qtr 1892 but I repeat there may be no mark of his burial.

It's a lovely area to live in.

Thanks.

I may be  misleading everyone. The family were residing at Wood End Farm nr Curborough and Fradley on the 1891 census so perhaps Kings Bromley wasn't the nearest churchyard. I have just checked the map. Sorry!

Hi again,

They could well be in Fradley churchyard then, I also have relatives in there. If not, Alrewas may also be a possiblity for you. Anyway I don't mind looking at any of these for you. Let me know

Hello Mel

It was kind of you to respond once again. I don't really know what to say. The 1911 census I am sure has thrown up a lot of unknown births for many folk. There are apparently 2 unknown births within this relationship and, of course, no dates are stated. Given that the possible timescale goes from 1881 to 1905 and only the later years are in the Staffordshire area, it may be like looking for the proverbial "needle in a haystack". Before you start on a fruitless search it may be perhaps better that I request a birth certificate first.

However, when you are in that vicinity you could just keep your eyes open just in case.

Thanks again for your interest.

Hi Mel & Judy

Hope you don't mind me butting-in, I am also in this area and need to re-visit these churchyards at a later date so will keep my eyes open when I do.  Mel - sounds like we live quite close to each other!
