Hi Ann,

I know this is an old thread but I have just found it.......William Phillips appears to have been the brother of my great-grandmother. I hope you log on to see this as I should be able to help you further with your search if you see this! William was a witness at his sisters wedding and there also seems to have been at least three more in the family, all children of James Phillips, farmer. Please contact me if you see this!

Hope to hear from you soon,

Martin

Hi Ann,

That was quick! Glad to hear from you too, I take it that you live in England? William attended his sister Martha's wedding in 1854 - though this marriage was in Belfast, Martha had previously married in Magherahamlet in 1850 but her husband Andrew Bowles had died. Elizabeth was also at the wedding and all three were the children of James Phillips. Elizabeth married Henry Scott in 1856 in Magherahamlet. There was also a sister Mary and possibly a brother John. Are you on Genes Reunited? if so, I can share my tree with you if that helps.

Haven't figured out yet how to send private messages on here but feel free to send me one if you want and we could take this off the forum board.

Best wishes,

Martin
