Castle/Hogben 1841, 51, 71 Kent Census lookup request

I am looking for 1841 and 51 Census information on my ggg grandparents, Edward Castle (b. abt 1837, Stodmarsh, Kent) and his wife Sarah Ann Castle (nee Hogben )(b. abt 1837, Littlebourne, Kent). I believe they lived in Stodmarsh or Littlebourne throughout the requested period.

The 1881 census info for the family is as follows:

Edward and Sarah had two additional children who would have left home by 1881; My gg grandfather William Thomas Castle (b. 1858, Littlebourne, Kent) and Mary Castle (b. 1862, Stodmarsh, Kent, She was blind)

I would appreciate any help that could be provided.

This is the 1871 census.  There is no indication on it that Mary is blind.

Because of the difference in ages shown for Sarah (wife of Charles) on the two successive censuses, I'd check BMD for a death and remarriage. It may just be a mistake, or it could indicate two different Sarah's.

Hi I noticed the name Hogbin/Hogben from the Kent area so thought I would offer this

When I was doing my ex wifes tree I found she had a hogben connection. As anyone doing Hogebn lines in East Kent knows it is like looking for a smith. To find the correct Hogben for her tree I had to do exstensive research on a lot of hogben/Hogbin lines.

As a result of the above I have a file which is some 150mb in size and contains some 6500 people on it. Amongst them are some 80 Hogbens. I am no longer doing this tree, and becauseit was a research through Registers at the Cathedral Archives in Canterbury, it also includes several other trees sent to me by people I knew at the time< there are very few (if any) sources listed. Having said this if anyone wants a copy or even a lookup in it please contact me. It is a good indicator of names and connections but must be treated as a clue rather than fact and everything will need verifying
