Do you have later registers for Cumnor?  I only have up to 1681,  there is a burial in 1679 of Margaret wife of William Badcock  and several earlier with reference to Badcocks of Wooten - I was wondering if there were any later ones

I also can't see a marriage for William to Margaret about 1665 which could be anywhere in the area

Ohh - nice one on that Marcham burial Sue,  I have the Radley ones - thanks,  I keep going through them to see what fits where.  I have to say I've had great fun with this today    (Haven't got much work done though)

Since you mention Marcham - there's a 1729 will on the Wiltshire Wills database for Joseph Badcock, yeoman of Garford, Marcham.  He mentions a wife named Martha and children named Martha, Elizabeth, Mary, Joseph, Hannah, Sarah and Francis.
