Missing Lamb Child

Hello Everyone, Happy New Year.

I have a difficult one here that I hope someone can help me with.

I have just discovered from one of my sisters that we had another sister who was "Still Born".

She doesn't know the child's name nor the actual DOB / DOD. The only thing that she can tell me is that she was born between my two sisters in Oakham, Rutland.  One other piece of info is that she was buried with someone else. she doesn't know who or why.

The info she as provided me means a few questions...

Who was she?
Who was she buried with?
Why was she buried with someone else?
Was it common practice to bury two people together?

I have tried searching with the info and knowledge that I have but have so far failed, hence I am requesting this help.

If you can help. We will be eternally gratefull to you.

My sisters where born in *1964 in Singapore and * 1966 in Oakham, Rutland *

I have tried "Find my Past" but I couldn't find anything at all.

Please help if you can.

Registered Stillbirths do not appear in any indexes. There are strict regulations as to who can apply for and receive this type of certificate.

With regard to her burial, she was most probably buried in a common or public grave in a municipal cemetery. This was common practice at the time. When the deceased are buried in this type of grave they are in a plot with many other unrelated people, sometimes 6,8,10 or 12 depending on the cemetery.

The will not be a headstone with her name on it but the cemetery will have an entry in their registers as to when and where she is buried, but the entry may simply be 'Baby X' if she wasn't given a name as sometimes happened.

Many thanks for the very fast reply to my query, granted it was not the answer that I was expecting or wanted for that matter, but it does help alot.

I will now attempt to find her through the means that you have indicated.
