Old map of Sutton, St Helens?

Does anyone have an old streetmap for Sutton St Helens from around 1900? I think this is now Merseyside, but it was part of Lancashire then - I have tried the Lancashire maps listed in this section but couildn't find anything.

I'm looking for the location of Railway Cottages, off Church Street; my g-g-grandfather and his family lived at No. 17 Railway Cottages from at least 1874 until 1901 or later, and his brother was at 7 Church Street in 1881, then Alma Street in '91. An Alma Street still exists, not sure if it's the same one?

No Church Street in Sutton,  but in St Helens, Lancashire was made up from 5 townships, and they joined in the centre of what became St Helens  at a point in Church Streeet by the present Parish Church.

Alma Street was in Peasley Cross and not Sutton as such but only in the registration district part of the town.

St Helens is a complex town to research because there are places that were registered as being in the district say Sutton when in fact the actual buildings could be near the town centre.

We were put in with the adminstrative County of Merseyside which was abolished in I think now 1984.   We were never ever taken out of the Palatine County of Lancashire and which I haave always used.

Nick  PM me if you need any further help regarding Sutton or Peasley Cross.  I have had family who lived in Sutton since 1690 to this day.

Well, thanks very much to everyone who replied!

In fact I made an error in my original message - it was 17 Railway Terrace, and not 'cottages' -  I got it mixed up with Railway Cottage which was in Alma Street.

In the 1970s we spent a rainy evening driving around Sutton, looking for an area my mum vaguely remembered being called 'Pudding Bank'. An elderly Policeman told us that he was probably one of the few people in Sutton to know that it was actually Pudding in't Bag, all gone by then, of course.

The Pudding Bag was off Monastery Lane in Sutton off Robins Lane to get up the the railway bridge that you drove under to get to the Pudding Bag.
