Please help me decipher this writing

I simply just want to know the surname.  This family didn't have anyone born in a hospital until my own generation so I think it's very unlikely.  The rest of the entry gives a Kevin's St address as the place of birth.  To me, the name looks like Hayam.  Also, I am not aware of a Briggs St in Dublin but there is a Digges (I am from Dublin).

For what it's worth, I read it as Eliza Hayam. 12 Digges Street.

The reason that I thought the name possibly began with "N" is the similarity, though it is shorter, than the initial on the word "Mark".

Also the writing appears to flow on into the next column, although without knowing what is written there it is impossible to tell whether it goes on or just overlaps.

The capital letters are unfamiliar although I have now seen quite a lot of Victorian period handwriting.

If you have the name Hayam in the family, do you have other instances of it written at around that time?

Perhaps you could find out from a directory who was living in that address in Digges Street at the time?

Hi Dudley,

I don't think the name Hayam exists at all, there's no instances of it on the 1911 or in the current phone book, that's just what it looks like to me.  It just overlaps with the next box - it ends where I've cropped it and the next box has "Eighteenth November" as the date the birth was registered, a week after the actual birth.  I thought of directories and I have access to Slaters 1881 on Irish Origins but you can't search a street, just a name in a town.

I did a query on Anc**try for Eliza Gayem born Dublin Ireland and I found a Eliz Gayem born Ireland on a passenger list.....so that is a possible surname.
