Hi Tessa

How wonderful I am descended from Gertrude Bache which was Louisa's sister, I have never met any of the Bache side of the family before my mom is still alive she met Lizzie Bache and William Bache as well.

I would love to meet up and exchange information with you my mom will be over the moon about this.

Here's my personal email address we could arrange to meet if that's okay with you.

email:

Hope to hear from you soon
Anne

Hi!  My James and Anne are James Bache, born in Birmingham in 1823, and Anne Probin, also born in Birmingham in 1822.  They had 11 children (that I've been able to find!) and he was a glassblower for most of his life.

Does that sound like your James and Anne?  I've only managed to get one generation back from James and I think possibly 2 back from Anne, but every little helps, as someone once said!  And it's always nice to share stuff with someone just to double check anyway.

Let me know if they match up!
Thanks
Tessa

Hi, I believe they are the same ones. James is my great-great-great grandad. Although i can only find them with 4 kids (from the 1851 census), because they seem to dissapear for a while after this. There son Henry Bache born 1850 is my great-great grandad. Would be great to find out about the other siblings that must have been born after the 1851 census?

Hi,fell for this myself, but there is a page missing from the 1871 census which makes it look like the Bache children are staying with the Malers BUT the Malers live at No120 while the Bache children are living 125 Spring Hill, the page between which would show the Bache family is missing

Oooh!  Thank you, Keith!

So much for all the wonderful and romantic theories I had made up to explain their absence!  I never thought about a simple missing page.

But that's lovely to have that cleared up.

Thanks again
Tessa
