Hi Migky
Thanks for the reply.
I dont have a full death date for James Joseph or for Mary Josephine CURRAN nee MORAN.
What would be on Marys death cert.. given its recent..2005

Name: Mary Josephine Curran
Birth Date: 10 Dec 1919
Death Registration Month/Year: May 2005
Age at death (estimated): 85
Registration district: Manchester
Inferred County: Lancashire
Register number: K63B
District and Subdistrict: 006/1K

Married.. seems to be
Name: John Curran
Spouse Surname: Moran
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1941
Registration district: Manchester
Registration county (inferred): Lancashire
Volume Number: 8d
Page Number: 463

I think this is John's death altho family say he was 52

John J CURRAN Died June qtr 1963 aged 68 years  Manchester Vol 10e Page 228

Guess it wouldnt be the first or last family story to be wrong ;D
Only recently started working on this so I have limited information.
Why is it all the ones you think will be easy have 14 kids for you to chase. ;D

Cheers

Genie

hello

It was quite common for friends or relatives to let some one have a space in their plot as they used to put about 6 people in one plot. So she may be in the grave of a totally unrelated person , but a friend .

If you still need support I am going to Moston in about four weeks and may as well look for a few plots  to make my trip worthwhile .Send me some details . I WIll reply if i find anything .

Was at St Josephs again today, on another soul destroying wasted trip, and the very helpful lady behind the desk told me that they are aiming to have the database up and running in December. Ironing out a few problems first-probably trying to work out who is exactly in which plot and where exactly each plot is. She hinted that it would be on a pay as you go basis. Possibly buy so many credits at a time.

We'll see.

Wayhay! great news but typical Roman Catholic thing. Always looking for money ::)
Got me really wondering on what info they are going to give out?
If like Bury they keep hiding behind the old " Data protection act" and i keep quoting them " The freedom of information act"  ;D
Great info and thanks for the heads-up

Migky  ;)
