Iam looking for the birth of JOHN BALLARD circa 1771

The 1841 Census says he was born Bristol

As anybody seen a ref to his birth anywhere - can anybody help ?

And that in itself is unusual isn't it? 

There's a John B born 1761 in Dymock (IGI extracted) but that's a long way from Bristol isn't it?  Mind you, had his parents moved to Bristol and he could remember growing up there so thought he was born there . . . . or somebody else gave erroneous information to the enumerator . . . .   I suppose that had he been born in 1761 he might have been a bit ga-ga by 1841 so  . . . . .

Regarding the enigma I told you of by P.M., I have no idea which could explain why the marriage is missing from BT's nor how/where the LDS managed to find the marriage dated before the date you found on the Licence.

Well!!

I have checked quite a lot of PRs at the BRO and basicaly have drawn a blank trying to find the parents of WILLIAM BALLARD born circa 1750 as per an earlier post where i posted a timeline of the life events I have found relating to him.  www.ballardgen.co.uk/1750_william_ballard_bristol.aspx

Basicaly I am looking at every BALLARD i can find in hope of stumbling over a nuget that will help me make a connection to his parents.

So if anybody has any resorces to hand that may contain BALLARD'S (BOLLARD - BALLERD or even BULLARD) Circa 1700'S or earlier I would appreciate the information.
