I looked up '12 Bankside' on the 1851 Census. Maybe even after 8 years there might be some clues.
Details 'Bankside' Southwark Bridge. St Saviour's Southwark. 1558 / 302 a /
No 12 appears to be a Pub with several family's living there. I cant see any obvious connection but pass it on just in case.

I noted the baptism for ' Sarah Batch Cole' her father Benjamin was a Victualler.. Wonder if he was at the Bankside address in 1843??
