Hello,
I have the name PINNIGER / PINEGAR in my tree.
Do you know of an Elizabeth (Betty) PINNIGER married to a William BELCHER ? They had a son Joseph, born in 1790 in Kington Langley, Wiltshire and christened on 11 July 1790 at Draycot Cerne, Wiltshire.
 Thanks  Kathryn

The only marriage I have for an Elizabeth Pinniger was in 1787, to a William Lewis...  I will have a look into the tree further and see what else I can come up with...but you might give me a couple of days...

My Pinnigers were rinkworth as far as I have gone back (which isn't that far)...you might want to post your request on the Wiltshire Board and see if anyone can do a look up for you.

Thank you Ian for checking this.  It would appear that these are my correct Pinnigers.  Before becoming a farmer in the US, he was listed as a barber.  His wife Sarah probably died from complications of childbirth.  I was not aware of this child, Joseph.  Thank you again.

Hi Ian,  sorry to ask a silly question.  But, what is Market Place--town, church, county?  I can't find anything about it.......Buckeye

Market Place is the name of the street. It is right in the centre of the town of Wantage. Wantage is now in Oxfordshire. There was a boundary change in 1974 and some of what was Berkshire became part of Oxfordshire. If you go to Google Maps http://maps.google.co.uk/ and type Wantage in the search box, it will come up with Wantage in the centre. If you then zoom in it will bring up the street names and you should see Market Place. On the top right of the map there should be some buttons, one with MAP and another with SATELLITE. If you click on the Satellite one you will get an aerial photo.

It would appear that there were complications with the birth of Joseph and he was not expected to live, hence the private baptism. he may have been premature. You would have to get his death certificate to find out. Similarly with Sarah's death.

Hi Daisy and others
Yes, Elizabeth Pinniger ( born 1762) was the daughter of Richard (1722 - 1801) and Elizabeth Lawrence (1732 - 1797). I can trace back a few more generations if you are interested.
