Hi Carol.

I'm going to go to Wakefield Archive & Dioese records office  in the new year , when there! sniff out these parish years on original parish books as a lot of the early gro index certs marriage and bapts were only copies of these.

Your experienced advice of finding, working how to break down these brickwalls too a true as possible conclusion is invaluable and well recieved.

Thanks again,

Will keep you posted
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi

Good luck - but you will not be able to look up any of the childrens birth certs to get Sarah's maiden name

Without that info - you won't be able to lookup any marriage as you won't know which is the right one

Marriages where a church is known, can be looked up in parish records - just like looking at the marriage cert so you get all the info.  This also applies to IGI marriage entries as long as the actual church is shown
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Hi Carol,
I will just have to go church by church also none conformist as some are of that faith in this tree are Baptists but do take your point that the children GRO birth certs should hold this answer. Geof like many thinks as I though! to cover all other sources first. Its no cost to me as I spend a lot of time in wakefield anyway with my own business. Hence this web site as first call! these 7 pound certs minimum cost soon add up.when the info may be already out there. Its up to Geof on that.

But you right as certs

Again Best Regards
