Hi Folks,

I have just come across your post and signed up - I am part of the Evans Family from Delgany/Greystones - I have been working on my family tree for the last few years - Unfortunatly I have left Ireland before I started so its taking me longer to do it that expected - I have just posted an updated version of my tree on Ancestry, which in the last 2 months I have got farther than the ast 2 years - Also if you check out www.nationalarchives.ie the 1911 census is now online and has a lot of infomation on it.

Believe it or not I actually grew up in Powerscourt and I am aware of some Evans living and working on the estate, I have not managed to fit them into my tree (Yet) but I also have a lot of blanks still to fill out.

Please check out my tree and feel free to contact me for any info.

just to update on how things are going
i was looking for my dads brother jack (john), who i didnt know existed until last year, for a totally different side project
i was informed he died at 14/15 in either 1941/1942
but have discovered that there is no record of his death
so the plot thickens and the search goes on

Hi Julia,

Yes, her daughter Margaret was my grandmother.  Julia's husband Thomas was drowned in 1947, I believe.  I would like to know anything at all that you might know about her, and her relatives. I know that her father Earnest was gameskeeper at Powerscourt?

Thanks very much,

Anne-Marie
