hi all ,could someone please lookup the 1871 census for thomas clarkstone  b1860,i think his fathers name was thomas,and there should be a younger brother james,any informationwould be greatly appreciated

No sign of Thomas Clarkestone or a younger brother James.

There is a James Clarkstone age 12 born Hyson Green, Nottingham as a patient in Nottingham General Hospital in 1871

The birth place matches up with one of the children in the above list.

There is a death for James Clarkstone in 1882 which may be him???

I don't understand where the parents are because they are alive and well in 1881. Thomas Senior was born in Bridport Dorset in 1829 if anyone wants to have a go.

Oh, heck - talk about it staring you in the face!

Elizabeth age 38 on 1871 is the mother of the children and is recorded as 'Marr' on the image.

that is the same james born1871, i cannot find him on any census,i know he married rosanna rushforth[1867/1902} in 1892,they had two children.thomas(1893_1896)walter{1898_1973].family legend is that he vanished at sea

in 1881 census family were at 37 mount st. basford, incorrectly spelt clarkston,still no sign of james though,

I doubt if the one in Hospital is yours then. Even if he is, he definitely ain't the dead one!

Two of them running around. Strange about Thomas in 1871. Even checked under initials to see if he was a naughty boy and banged up somewhere!  Sorry
