He remembers going to the Zucci picture house with his Anderson Cousins

Your Grandad must have lived in the same building as my family the Molloys and Monaghans it was known as dymocks building and there were many irish families living there why don't you put a request on rootsweb seeking street directories of Wishaw looking for reid families. I had a lot of luck doing that also motherwell heritage centre is good for records some good people who are visiting the centre and have got time will probably do a alook up for you and I live a few minutes from the Kirk of shots the oldest church in Scotland, it recently been renovated through money of the lottery and local fundraising it is beautiful at night as it is in the middle of knowhere and it is all lit up, I see some of your family were baptised there

Kind regards Jane :)

Hi Jane
Thank you for the reply, Grandad was James Reid I have managed to go back as far as 1791 on the Reids side, but now I am stuck Grandad belonged to the Episcopal Church (have i spelt that right) There is quite a coincidence here I am married to a Molloy from Ireland,

Thanks once again

Mary

Hi Jane
Reids were as I said Episcopal, Lindsay Roman Catholic.
I was up in Scotland in November I did a Highland Heritage Trip, but I would rather have gone to Wishaw I have a cousin there, also a 2nd cousin whom we contacted on Gr.

Cheers
