Parker, Powell, Myles, Keays, Keyes, Bradshaw
« on: Sunday 21 December 08 18:21 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for anyone interested in these surnames from the Limerick/Clare/Tipperary area, as all have married into my own family.  My personal line is the Keays line, which I can trace back in Limerick to the mid 1600s.  All are predominantly Protestant names, but over the years, there has been some Catholic intermarriages.  I have a fairly large database that contains descendants of all the surnames.

Hi, I have two generations of Powell in Ballylanders and Curraghturk in Limerick, before a Protestant-Catholic elopement and immigration to Australia about 1854. I have George Powell, sons Francis (b.1815) and George (b.1829). The sons both came to Australia.
I've not had any luck in getting further back or finding George Powell snr's siblings. If this fits with anything you have, I'd be keen to know.

Hi Cindy, I'd live any information you could share about the Keyes and Keays in and around Limerick. I'm a Keyes from Limerick but understand my family name used to be spelled Keays but they had to change it from the Protestant spelling to Catholic spelling for some reason. Thanks a million!
