They have Yorkshire!! (But why oh why do I have to notice it just the day before an exam?!)

It turns out my G aunt is on the census - even though she was technically born the day after. Somehow I think the census would have been the last thing on the mind of GG grandparents!

Ive just had an email from the 1911census.co.uk as im guessing most of you have too. Saying its officialy opening tommorow with most counties on.

Although i think what is online now, is what is there on the launch tommorow. Wales wont be on the list. It will be online in the spring apparently

I see that as they become available we'll also be able to see the RG78 images in addition to the householder schedule ( at no additional charge).

"(30 units) For this price you will also be able to view all the associated images for the family: this includes both sides of the household form ( RG 14); the page from the enumerator’s book, which lists the head of household for all the neighbouring buildings; summary statistical pages for the registation district and details of the enumerator’s walk (RG 78). For most searches this means that you will get at between two and seven images for your 30 credits."

That'll be useful ;D

I have found my GGG Grandmother on the census and she is listed as in an Institution (preumably workhouse), rather than a Household.

As the images are really expensive, I don't want to view it if I don't need to. As she will be on her own, the only reason I would need to view it is to look at how many children she had. As far as I know she only had 1 - which seemed a bit unusual for those times. I was wondering if some had died.

Does anyone know if the Institution forms would show this information?
