The 1911 blog is reminding us to print or download our transcripts and original pages, as once the beta site has closed we won't have access to them.

I've downloaded the original page I have, but can't see how to download the transcripts, only to export the list.  Can anyone help?

The easiest way is to copy and paste them into something like Word or Notepad.  Use the View for Print Option (top right) and c & V that  or print it using MS Office Document Image Writer (creates a print file rather than a hard copy)

Otherwise you could do a Print Screen (top right of keyboard by the Function keys). This will copy it to your Clipboard and it can then be used to create a graphic file using a graphics program. There is free software available to do this direct.

Think I'd copy and paste into Word  :)

Good idea, thanks.  I'd already printed them off, but it's convenient to have them available on screen as well.  The way they phrased it, I thought there must be a download link, similar to the original copy one, and I'd missed it.

It is the 31st December isn't it?

I've just been into the beta site and it's still working!

Oh thanks Nick- that's really cheered me up  ::)

My credits expire on 4th Jan 2010.....just  time enough to view all the rellies who lived in Cheshire and Somerset (2 of the counties NOT included in the Beta test)

And there we all were thinking it was going to be early Jan,like the 1901 release was all those years ago.

They are really hedging their bets with that wording aren't they?
