I would hope not Carol. This is data that is available on the TNA. I'd hope I wouldn't be penalised for making things easier for searchers.

I'm not offering 1911 lookups. I am offering census references for locations in the 1911 census that are not covered by the location menus they have.

It works a bit like Hugh Wallace's IGI batch number lookup. A great way of seriously narrowing your searches to target exactly where you want to look.

As Paul says these references are  available from http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/search.asp if you put the name of the place in the Word or phrase box and 1911 in the Year range box and RG14 in the Department or Series code box

Thanks Stan,

You must, however, use RG 14, not RG14 in the Department or Series code field. I've also found limiting the date range to 1911 makes no difference.

Paul

Not so both RG14 or RG 14 work, and it does say Year range

You can use the National Archives  site for all the other censuses as well, but for 1841 and 1851 which are both HO107 you must specify the year range for each census.
