Carol

I read somewhere in the 1911 blurb that it was going live on Jan 3rd 2009

Chris

I must read different blurb to you  ;)

But have seen this on their website " The entire, unredacted census will be made available on 3 January 2012 (first working day). "

I,like you, are waiting(patiently) for Cheshire now  :D

Thanks Rog, must be just me or the image. What a shame.
Don't lose hope, Paul! I had this on some of my households and the images became available a day or 2 later.

Now wondering if I'll be alive in January 2022 to see the 1921.  I'll be in my late 70s  :-\

No 1931 or 1941 so that will be it  :(

Hi Carol

You may be right, I cant remember the exact wording just the '3rd January' bit

Ubfortunately, I am not expecting to find more than just one or two in Cheshire in 1911 as most of the family had by then left the county after some 250 years residence in Cheshire and gone to Staffs, Notts & Derbyshire

I got the 19 entries for Staffs, but its the Notts I really want as it will have my mam and dad on it

It would have been nice to show my mam (now 87) a copy of her dads signature as well.

Ah well, will have to wait

The key word is unredacted that means with all the sensitive information shown. The census with the sensitive information not shown will be available from  Jan 3rd 2009.

Hurrah!! Found my Russells - now that Oxfordshire is available to search. How exciting!! Except, like my Staffs branch, my grandparent wasn't at home - but I found him too!! I knew he was a gardener, and he's there living with a load of other gardeners!!

I've emailed the bods in charge of the site though - as my Russells are still only to be found if I search Oxfordshire - and they lived in Medmenham, Bucks.

I'm sure there'll be a lot of similar instances, when a town/village is in a Reg District assigned to another county, so I just hope they're on top of that!!

Otherwise, big smiles today!!  ;D ;D ;D

Just to remind Gadget that the Scottish 1931 census will appear at the appropriate time.
