I was wondering about how it would work out with the Welsh names and places
.
I  searched for Nicholas Thomas in Cornwall, and had to pay each time to view who else was in the household, as there were quite a few with the same birth year and place.

Had this been in Wales the amount of people with the same details would have been enormous,  and I won't be able to afford it.
Apart from the fact that our rellie's don't always put the correct facts down from year to year on the census, making it even more expensive searching for them in 1911.
It was very difficult for me to pin point them in the other census years even though I had a subscription and I could search  24/7

I think there might be a problem for us looking for rellie's in Wales, and maybe it would be best if they did a test run.

Are we to assume that there will be no further counties added to the beta test?

If that's the case, I may as well stop bothering!

I am, of course, very happy for all you jammy lovely  people who have found your ancestors. That goes without saying (remember Spit the Dog? here insert said dog's famous action!!)   ;D ;D ;D

If you have not been on today, they added 8 counties.

Careful, Rog, you'll get us all excited!  Having just been back to the test site I can't see any new counties since those they added on Saturday (listed at Tewin's reply #78 on page 6 above).  Or have I missed something?

I'm champing at the bit for Durham and Essex but I do hope poor Jill gets a Christmas present.

I've found two images containing a total of 3 direct ancestors. I also sent a third to a second cousin as a surprise Christmas present. I'm planning another prezzie as soon as I can download again. I've been lucky as most of mine are in London or Dorset but I can't find gt grandad Speight. He was a Policeman in London in 1901. I wonder if they've moved. He was due to retire.

Christmas dinner is in the freezer so that's safe but I haven't yet got prezzies. I'd better get them first.  ;D
