They've extended it then. Good news! I wonder if that means they had lots of problems so they need to test it for longer, or if it means it went so well they can cope with more users - they certainly seem to be inviting more people in today. Frustratingly I can't remember now where it said December 22nd, but I know it did because I re-checked it before I posted it here.

I finally gave in and bought some credits (I knew I wouldn't last out!).

Gjones - I only found one family - I couldn't view it as such, but was given a link to click on which downloaded it to my PC, and I could then view it - and save it.

It's impossible to resist isn't it Jill.  8)

If you know exactly where you want to look, I've worked out how to build a census reference. Have a look here, and my posts below it.

Very clever!

I think you've just made me realise why my Russells are not to be found.

Bucks is on the 1911 Beta test but Oxfordshire is marked as 'coming soon'. Following your links, I rediscovered (I should have remembered this from birth certs etc , but , in my own defence, it's been a while!) that, although Medmenham is actually in Bucks, it comes under the Henley Reg District - and, of course, Henley is in Oxon.

So that's that mystery solved.

Thanks very much for helping me sort that out!

...and relax!!!  8)

So it looks as if there's  going to be no Welsh counties, no Shropshire or Cheshire on the Beta. I'm just left with my Wiltshire in laws  :'( :'( :'(

Gadget - 188 credits left and nothing to spend them on  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Added - it's not a very good Beta if they leave out the Welsh/Cymraeg shedules. That's what I say - FindMyPast fail in doing trialing    :(

Seems a little harsh, Gadget, - they made it clear that it was limited counties availablee on the beta pag, and from their updates it sounds as though they're still scanning the documents at Kew. Why should we expect everything all at once?

Maybe I'm biased cos the vast majority of my rellies are London and home counties (though there are enough Lancs to keep me in suspense), but given that I expected to wait until 2012 I'm EXTREMELY grateful to get my hands on whatever they can throw at me...
