There's a discussion in the Common Room at the moment about the lack of reference numbers on the 1911 census.

Hi Aniseed,

After you've downloaded either an image or a transcription you can then click on the 'My Records' tab. This will list everything you have paid for, along with the complete census reference.

Thanks so much for that Paul!  :D I hadn't even looked at the 'My Records' tab. So much more useful than I thought! Am I right in thinking though that they disappear after a certain amount of time?

If they're using the same format as Scotlands People, the records are in My Records for ever unless you delete them  :)

I have  received my Invitation to use Beta trial to-day ;D ;D ;D

I am sure I read somewhere that the offer closes to-day though ???

I have found ggrandma with grandad and his sister plus a few others in Devon and Cornwall :D . I couldn't resist having a look at the originals.

I hope it is cheaper to search in the future, as I used £13.90 in about 10 minutes....but it's made my Christmas and confirmed that my research is correct ;)

I've just received the invite again today, I received it on Friday originally.  Perhaps they have lengthened the trial period  :-\

On the transcript I downloaded the hosehold address was in the boxes at the bottom of page one, going over on to the second page, included in the Census reference details.

Modem, how do you get the second page? I've only ever downloaded one.

There's a discussion in the Common Room at the moment about the lack of reference numbers on the 1911 census.

FindMyPast don't allow them as search parameters at the moment. It will make it harder to find them again, or even point other people in the right direction.

Sorry did not make it clear, the transcription runs into two pages when I print it out and the address is in all the stuff after the info about the inhabitants.

PS it also appears on the "print" version of the transcript.

the 2 transcripts I printed were only one page each... I expect it depends how many people were in the household.  ;D
