I have searched and found quite a few that I am interested in.  I have printed off the searches.

I was on the point of buying credits, but then I decided that they could have given us a better deal.  A very limited number of counties at a time when we are all busy and money may be short for some people.   They could have offered us a better deal - so I will wait until the Spring.

I think the site is OK with a few adjustments.

Has anyone had success with Berkshire?  I have spent ages putting in both sets of Grand parent with lots of info, a little info and half as much info, Surname alone, surname plus town etc etc etc
Nada! :(

Hi Abiam, Where do you start. I have my bar of soap  ;)  But must be still unwashed......  :-[

I quite like being able to search on someone with another family member named.  That should be quite useful.

Now someone is going to tell me I missed that facility that has been on Ancestry for the last 10 years  ::)

Thanks for looking for my Violet Russell, les_looking. I did find that one - and she's the right age - but Newport Pagnell isn't right + I couldn't find any of her siblings or her parents listed there.

Without buying some credits to check it out, I'm still in the dark. It seems that the minimum credits you can buy is 60, and so far I've only found one household in Staffs (for my other branch) that might be mine so it's just not worth it.

I'm beginning to think that there are some parishes missing - especially with Lesanne's comments about the missing Berkshire entries.

I'm hoping that it's looking pretty likely that the finished site will be launched pretty soon so I think I'll be patient and wait. I'd really like to be able to find my Yorkshire ancestors, as there are a few more answers I'm looking for there - but it seems that Yorkshire isn't going to feature on this beta test site, especially as someone said it finishes tomorrow.

I cant find Twickenham in London or Middlesex. Can anyone else find it? Or would Twickenham appear under some other location?

Hi Paul, I think Twickenham may count as Surrey, so there's hope yet...

Cheers,

Sadly I don't have any ancestors north of the border or not that I've found yet anyway

Scotlands People sounds like a great site but I've never even visited it.
