So Sussex or Surrey either.  Shame!

I have to agree with Newf, bearing in mind it is still 2008 and we are being allowed to see it considerably earlier than we did the 1901 I think the charges are quite reasonable.  But then as I have said all along I had unused credits with FindMyPast that I have now been able to use, so I sort of saved up for it.  ::)

re the cost i suppose when you compare to subscriptions most have been paying for a year, then it is expensive and would seem even more so when you find nothing:(

BUT compare a census result to a certificate most have paid £7 for you pay and wait a week,  this way the result is instant,
and with the 1911 you have information on the whole family, as ive said if your not sure what your looking for then maybe best to wait, and as someone says above, in most cases this info has been there for a 100 years, so another few months they are not going anywhere;)

I said - virtually all the Home Counties    ;)

and I'm not sure Sussex ever was ?   :P

Quote
1920: The London and Home Counties Electricity District consisted of the counties of London and Middlesex; and parts of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey.
1924: The London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee, covering the London Traffic Area: London, Middlesex, and parts of Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey.
1926: The Home Counties (Music and Dancing) Licensing Act regulated activities in all parts of Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey within 20 miles of the City of London or City of Westminster.
1938: Green Belt (London and Home Counties) Act limited development in parts of Middlesex, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Essex, Berkshire and Hertfordshire.

altho to be fair, it is considered part of the commuter belt  ;)

is there a link to the website and page i cant find it  :-[

People who pre-registered their interest in the 1911 census are being e-mailed a link to try out the site to see how well it works etc. As part of the process of using the site you have to agree not to publish the web address anywhere. I guess they can only cope with a known number of users at the moment and don't want it to be overwhelmed and crash on them. So very sadly, if you don't get the e-mail inviting you to use it, you won't be able to until it goes on-line to everyone, which I think is going to be next year sometime.
