Downloading - not a problem and I wasn't actually given a choice of seeing the page, it was a case of download, a little note to that effect was posted - in order to save time so that as many people as possible can use the site at any one time.  Beware though all pages are called "fname"!!  And they go into your basket, so you won't have to pay to see them again (not that I've seen them in the first place, until I downloaded!!).  Printing was OK as well.

I am so envious at the accounts of the rellie's you have all found 8) in 1911.

I don't know if I had an invite to join or not, as I received so many up-dates I didn't  read them all properly...who is sorry now :-[

I do have some credits left, but is the 1911  only going to be accessable from using special vouchers or can I use the credits I already have when it becomes available.

This one had "An exclusive invitation to preview 1911census.co.uk" in the title line, so if you read the titles as well as who it's from, you won't have missed it! It's worth checking your spam box, though.

Don't know the answer to your question about credits from FindMyPast as I don't use them other than the 1911 site.

Hi ambers  :)

I had over 200 credits left over from before FindMyPast became a subscription site. They'd been lurking there unused for ages and I was able to use them on the 1911 site  :)

Is there anywhere it says if the whole of a county is available?

Bucks is supposed to be there but I've tried and tried to find my Russells and I'm having no luck whatsoever. They had a few younger children, so I've had several names to go at but just can't find them on the free search.

They were in Medmenham in 1901 and still there in 1908 when youngest child Violet was born - and both parents died there. So, unless they suddenly upped sticks to another part of the country for a couple of years, they've been missed off!!

Jill

not sure if its your violet of not,? but i tried violet russell ,bucks, and it did find one  born 1908 newport pagnell bucks

Hi Aniseed,

Many thanks for letting me know the wording of the invite ..

I was in-indated with Spam at the time and got delete happy ::) therefore I lost some of the mail I had received from them.

It's killing me seeing Cornwall listed and not having access.. :-[
