I've just downloaded a couple of transcripts, but they do not have all the information quoted above.

They have:

Name
Relationship to head
Marital status
Years married
Sex
Age in 1911
Occupation
Where born

plus details of the address. I did not get details of children except those in the household at the time.

i take it you mean the household transcript? and cost 10 units
to get the above (full information) its the household original page you need (30 units)
ie you get the actual census form

Well, I searched for 3 families I was sure about - and found them all - so am well pleased. One was of my father's family, with him as a one year old!!! :)

Hope the Hertfordshire ones come soon - thats where the bulk of my family were at that time.

The price is a bit high, but well worth  to be able to find the three I did.
Hertfordshire - Stone, Wells, Quarry,Claxton
London - Sutton (Southwark/Clerkenwell), Phillips (Clerkenwell), Stone (Chelsea)
Suffolk - Turner & Rogers (Lavenham)
Norfolk - (K)Nobbs & Germany (Norwich)
Middlesex - Shackell
Anywhere - Quarry & variants

Not one member of either my family or that of my OH is in the counties so far up there.  I am itching to have a look but I will just have to learn to be patient.  I bet Yorks and Lancs come up on Dec. 25th.

I think the beta trial ends on 22nd December, Maggie. :(
I hope you get your counties before then.  :)

No worries Aniseed - my day will no doubt come, and I'm going to be a bit busy tomorrow and Monday therefore perhaps the potential diversion of Lancs/Yorks appearing would not be good news for me as I would not be able to resist trawling.

I had that dilemma today when the new counties were put up! Write Christmas cards or look up my great great grandparents and their children's various families? No contest!  ;D

(I managed to find all but one of them!)

When you get your list of results up - you can (supposedly) click on the column headings. I clicked on the 'District/Other' column because I was hoping to find out which areas that district covered, but nowt happened!!

I'm having no luck at all trying to find my Russell family who I'm pretty sure were living in Medmenham, Bucks at the time. My great grandfather was John William Russell, and there's one such in the Eton District - right age as well (born 1868), but I don't think Medmenham would come under Eton and I can't find his wife Beatrice (1870) (tried all the spellings I could think of!!) or any of the younger children. The older ones - including my grandfather Fredericck - would probably be working away from home so not to worried about them at the moment.

Hi Jillruss,

when you click on the column headings it sorts the record according to the information in the column you have clicked, so clicking on district/other does change things, it puts the records in the alphabetical order of the district listed (can be useful for grouping people likely to be the same household or living close to each other, for instance).
McDonough, Oliver, McLoughlin, O'Brien, Cuthbert, Keegan, Quirk(e), O'Malley, McGuirk (Ireland)
Dudley, Winchurch, Wolverson, Brookes (Black Country)
Concannon, Moore, Markowski (Markesky), Mottram, Lawton (Black Country)

Thanks for that!

Just tried to find another branch in Staffordshire. Found my great grandparents okay and all their children except - you guessed it - my grandmother!! She probably picked that particular date to go on an away day! Typical!

This is using the free search only - looks like I'm going to have to spend spend spend!!
