Various County Down Surnames - Excellent

Have just come across this excellent website which contains a variety of information on County Down surnames etc including some birth/marriage info. Extent of details varies from name to name but well worth a look. Links to other parts of the site (such as maps or church locations) seems excellent too.

I think if you have a name you are researching in the County then it would do you no harm to have a look...you might just find something on an elusive ancestor.

I applaud the person who has put the site together as they seem to have put a lot of effort into it.

I have to agree, Rosalind Davies is to be commended for the work she has put into her website!!!  Her research pages are an invaluable asset to anyone researching their County Down Roots!!!!

I have to totally agree with the pair of you. She has made it easier for us all to find our Irish roots in Down.
