Wow this just gets better...
My Great Great Grandmother was Sarah Amelia Inez, daughter of Joseph Inez and MARY ANN BETTIS. I believe Mary Ann Bettis to be the daughter of William Bettis and Sarah Hart but am becoming increasingly unsure given the information listed above - I can find no record of her birth anywhere and she may well be the child in question.
What I do know about William is that he married Sarah Hart in Tasmania
They have two other children that I am aware of
Louisa Bettis (born approx 1858)
William James Bettis (born 1854)...(please refer to web link:

Still cannot work out where my GGG Grandmother Mary Ann Bettis fits in - her death certificate gave a date of birth of 1855... place of birth England, with Sarah Hart and William Bettis her parents, I tend to think that naming her daughter Sarah may be with refernce to her mother, but again not sure..Email me at (*) not sure whether you will get this or not!!
