G'day,
I'm new to RootsChat.... (OK, you can stop laughing now)
I've recently taken up the gauntlet of assisting my mother's research.
My mother has over 4000 names going back to the 1400's, but my interest is mainly in my paternal line - The Ingleby's of Yorkshire.
Prior to emigrating to Australia, my Ingleby line seems to have been concentrated around Pately Bridge.
I've published much of the work on a family web site
www.ingleby.id.au, and the public index can be found at
http://www.ingleby.id.au/public/family-tree/.
Please note that the index ends in the early 20th century as I have not made public anyone who is alive, nor their parents, for privacy reasons.
Many of the names on the index, particularly the women, are dead ends - we simply don't know what happened to them. I'm hoping that other family lines can be tied into my line.
The line starts with Thomas INGLEBY (b. 1604; d. 29-Aug-1694) of Yorkshire - I'd love to be able to go back further.
Well, I've thrown my hat into the ring, so to speak.... If anyone feels their line intersects with mine, I'de love to hear from them.
Cheers,
Bob.
