Mathew Tait Born Abt. 1785 in Paisley, Renfrwshire, Scotland. Died Bef.1841. Wife Isabella Pirrie (Perry) Born Abt 1785 in Paisley Renfrwshire Scotland. 
They had 4 children
Isabella Tait. She was born Abt. 1816 in Paisley Renfrewshire Scotland.
Agnes Tait. was born Abt.1821in Paisley, Renfrwshire, Scotland. Residence in1841 Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Janet Tait. She was born on 21 Jan 1821 in Paisley Renfrewshire Scotland and was married on 25 Oct 1842 in St Patricks Church, Auckland, New  Zealand. She died on 26 Aug 1882 in Mercury Bay, New Zealand.
John Tait. Born Abt. 1821 in Paisley Renfrwshire Scotland and died on 18 Oct 1856 in Paisley  Renfrewshire
Married Annie McCallum on 19 Oct 1839 in Low Church, Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland.

Hi my great great grandmother was Isabella Tait, married to William Cowden. They were married by the Gaelic minister in 1828, wonder if it's the same family. Isabella's father was called John.

Hi, I am a descendant of Janet Tait who came to NZ is about 1841 on the ship Jane Gifford. She had children Isabella, John, Bridget etc and lived in Whitianga. I have been trying to find out more about her and her family. It does seem that we are talking about the same family.
