This is my great grandfather,he was born in 1866 don't know where but he move to Bucks around 1908 with his wife edith rebecca smallwood nee riddlestorffer.two children were born in aylesbury and stoke maudivilleJame and Jessie. william died in aylesbury in 1910. I would be really grateful for any info:on the family particularly William.I don't know if he was from the Bucks area but he chose to settle there after his marriage so he might be. His father was william john smallwood a clerk in holy orders again this is all I know about him.I would be grateful for any assisstance.

If it's correct then this should be William - his name is William T (or J) on the census though  :-\

Actually I have already contacted Claines church and they don't think he is the one I am looking for. I think I will get a copy of the  birth cert. for William smallwood born in Pershore and see who the mother is.

Then again there probably aren't hundreds of William J Smallwood, Clerk in Holy orders. Do you have dad's occupation off the marriage cert? Were there any Smallwood witnesses?

Yes,Ingot his occupation off the marriage certificate,which also says he was deceased at the time of the marriage.The witnesses were Albert E Dodson and Elijah J Flint
