you should have put irenes bit in quotes cathay, you know what people are like, they will think thats you and put you as grandaughter of rose on ancestry in an hours time! or maybe 5 minutes...!
havent got it to hand the smith line, but well documented, children of elijah and sophia, off the top of my head, susan yoki shuri married riley boss, isabella married nelson cooper, james, perron, liti married robert palmer, vaino, samuel, robert, delphi,  all married into well known families.  Time frame for births, i know isabella born about 1801 and perron about 1817, so all early part of 1800s i would say.

cathay, betty here, thanks for posting up rhoda smith. The post that says she is dau of William Smith and Sinfoy may only be supposition, nothing concrete has been found to connect her, unless anyone can tell me different. What is known about her is married 1862 Theophilus scarrott, grandson of the mentioned William Scarrott and Mary Whitehouse. Had children counceletta 1863 m walter brinkley. william 1866 hes on 1881 census stoke hammond on green with a Johnny and Kesiah Smith both from Oxfordshire. Rhoda went with Valentine Brinkley son of william brinkley and anne shaw (her daughter Counseys husbands uncle) and had Valenine 1879, Edward 1881, James 1877. James died 1907 Edmonton, but more is known of Edward, he married Priscilla Penfold (not sure of her parents) They married 1920  Chipping Barnet and had
