please! look -up for: JAMES DOWNES AGED 3 ish ON THE  1861 CENSUS BORN: 1858 MUNSLOW,SHROPSHIRE.THANKS!! mother was called jane thats all i know..would love to know who his immediate family were!!!

Hi Vetty,
I'm sorry I can't help you with your request, but I could have a link to the family you are searching for.  I've just discovered that my g.g.g.grandmother was called Jemimah Downes before she married John Brown in the Munslow area in 1845. She had a son called James Brown, who was christened in Munslow in November 1846, and like you I am now searching for more info. It occurred to me that maybe the father of your James, and my Jame's mother could have been siblings.
If you come across Jemimah in your search I would love to hear from you, and likewise I will contact you should I come across anything I think may be of interest to you.
